The Margaret Sloss Center for Women and Gender Equity administers two scholarships for adult and non-traditional students.

Margaret Sloss Center for Women and Gender Equity Adult Student Scholarship Fund

The Adult Student Scholarship Fund provides adult students at Iowa State with scholarships designed to cover the cost of books and supplies for one semester. Students will not be awarded two consecutive semesters. The scholarship will be awarded through the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Requirements:

  • 24 years of age or older by the deadline of the application period
  • Did not enter Iowa State University directly from high school
  • Is responsible for dependents other than a spouse
  • Part-time, graduate and international students who meet the criteria are eligible
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Complete all sections of the application form

 

The Division of Student Affairs Adult Student Scholarship Fund

The Division of Student Affairs Adult Student Scholarship provides adult students at Iowa State $1000 for the academic year. This scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years. 

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student status -- full or part-time
  • Must be 25 years or older
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Complete all sections of the application form
